Affini-Who? Affini-You. Hello, I’m Aaron I completed the NASM Certified Personal Trainer course in 2022. I am currently enrolled in the Certified Nutritional coaching course and expect to complete it very soon! I’ve always been a fitness enthusiast, running, pick-up games of basketball and football; weightlifting, and cycling. My interests have shifted throughout the years. With those changes, I found myself becoming willing to explore even more modalities of activity. In my mid-twenties I began to fall away from my health-centered lifestyle as I slowly became more sedentary; Over the last year and a half, I invested time in myself rediscovering my passion for health and wellness. While I progress in my journey in improving my health and fitness, I hope you join and grow with me in this adventure.
I am a husband, and father; and fortunate to have a healthy and happy family; that is my foundation and inspiration to be the best version of myself. I am a NASM-certified Personal Trainer and soon-to-be Nutritional Coach. The previously listed titles hold a special meaning to me and allow me to be a mentor, a source of inspiration, and knowledge to individuals looking to improve their health and fitness. A point I’d like to drive home is acceptance of oneself and that change will only come with effort.
My intention for this blog is to provide support and guidance to individuals that seek betterment for themselves. From the most novice to the experts in the gym will find something to pique your interest and increase your knowledge regarding health and fitness.
One thing I’ve learned and wish to express to everyone is that evidence-based practices will supersede temporary trends in the fitness and health industry. There will be no claims of knowing more than my peers, nor will I ever defame anyone in this field. I will spend as much time as needed to ensure I release sound, evidence-based material. The benefits of this blog will provide an opportunity for you to get to know me as a person and a coach. I will offer a kind nudge to guide you toward your goals.
Being that there are a vast number of subjects in the health and fitness industry. Some content may be more appealing to you. Most of these posts focus on those who lead a busy lifestyle; parents may greatly benefit from this. I know how difficult it is to fit exercise into a routine that may vary wildly from day to day. A busy life doesn’t mean your health should take a back seat. My goals have been clear to me from the time I set out to be a fitness coach. I strive to be a source of inspiration and knowledge to anyone that wishes to seek results in their health and fitness. Reading this should provide you with sound information and motivate you to achieve your goals.
